I filed out my housing preference form yesterday for UCSB, and I put substance-free floor in Santa Cruz as my first choice for the interest floor. Is that a good idea? I can still change it (up until June) if I want. But somebody else wrote in here that kids on the substance-free floors tend to be boring and reclusive because they're reeallly into their school work. Is this true?
BTW-I choose substance-free because I figured I would be less distracted so I could actually study. Of course, I still plan to have fun and stuff, but I also need to focus on school. I don't want to be in a boring, anti-social dorm either. So was substance-free a good choice?

Probably not, considering that all your dorm mates will be the types that don't want to party
