Has anyone ever been so bored that their grades go down because of it? I feel like I'm just memorizing information, taking the test, and then forgetting it afterwards. Like maybe that is all there is to do.

You're not alone. I almost flunked Freshman English in highschool because I'd read all of the material in junior high and all we did were worksheets and memorizing one monologue. I knew all the answers to the worksheets so they bored me to tears. I'd put them in my backpack and forget about them. Sophomore year was even worse. Our teacher actually sat us in a circle on the floor and read to us! I was so bored, and so tired of being treated like I was five, that I barely passed with a D. It wasn't until junior year when I went on home studies and worked at my own level and pace that I was able to get my grades back to reflecting my passion for the subject. Luckily, when I returned to school it was to a small arts based charter where the Language Arts teacher wasn't swamped with a ton of students and thus could tailer things more to individual student's needs.
