Alright, so for those of you who follow college sports...This whole switch from big east to the ACC for BC is ridiculous...I'm going to University of maryland, and besides the fact that i hate everything to do with BC (i have my reasons, you want me to clarify just ask, dont attack me for opinion), I think it's ridiculous that they are bailing on the big east. They really don't belong in the ACC at all. Their football team, though ranked below maryland, wake...fsu...and a couple others, i think totally challenges the ACC football...and i don't think their basketball will match up to acc (despire their win over NC state in OT this yr)...and they just don't seem to be part of the ACC. They just want in b/c ACC is the most popular conference, and i think it's hindering both the ACC and BIg east. BIg east already lost miami to ACC. I hate the idea of BC coming into my (as im a terp) conference. However it will make for great tshirts at games, I think BC should def. reconsider. Granted they wont be joining until 2006 approx, i think it's a joke they are coming in.

i think BC will do just fine in the ACC. They have a basketball team on the rise and a football team which consistently makes bowl games. If they weren't quality in their sports programs overall, they would not have got the invite to join the ACC. It might take them a few years to adjust to the better competition (in my opinion) in the ACC but they will eventually do well in the conference. Why do you hate the school so much?

My own personal issues...and it's not cuz i got rejected or anything bitter in that sense, i didnt apply...BC is like, the school of my town..my town is composed of horribly snobby rich people. eeryone who goes to BC from my school are really bitchy, stuck up girls who still think they are like, "popular"...my ex boyfriend goes there too...and he used to be the greatest guy...he went to bc, and to put it frankly, iw asnt like, "cool enough" to be part of the bc lifestyle...after a year and ahalf..the school turned him into a real dick, and people can say that can happen anywhere, but his whole family went to bc and were all horribly stuck up about it...and i think it's a very cliquish, cultish school, and every person i know who goes there, in regards to the people in my grade who are going next yr even, are just stuck up people...i mean, if ur going there congrats, but i just have my own animosity towards the shcool...

I don't quite understand how you say they don't belong in the ACC... the big east is arguably better than the ACC ... look how many teams made it far into the tourny from the big east and compare that to the ACC... as a matter of fact i think it was said that the big east was the most succesfull conference in the whole ncaa tourny.... they were home to both the men's and women's national champions

.. and as far as football goes neither team is a powerhouse

if anythign i think bc is switching over to the acc more for academic reasons ...(with miami gone there are not too many academically decent schools in the big east)

not using as the scapegoat...scapegoat would be uncalled for blame. wasn't the soul reason, mind you, but like, 90% of...i wasnt starting this convo for a fight...im just more pro bc stayin in big east as opposed to comin into the acc. chill.

I'm going to BC in the fall too! What are you thinking of majoring in?

Woogiewilly25 : It baffles me that there are people can't stand BC. I've visited and everyone i've met has only been friendly and warm towards me. I love it!

I guess it really depends on how you deal with those "rich and snobby" people. I'm sure they are at every school, certainly NOT just at BC.
