UCSD is the best school to which i was accepted, and i enjoy boba frequently near the CSUN campus (lollicup at nordhoff and reseda). Granted, i would like to know of the availablity of any boba outlets (Lollicup, specifically) on or near the campus, and whether they have green mango flavor. I'm not chinese, but i feel boba is an excellent beverage conducive to heightened actvity (sugar content), rapid quenching of hunger and thirst, and having a marginal nutrtional value. Please tell me where to get some close to campus, and of any better boba places than Lollicup.

hahahah, this post made me laugh. and just for that, i'm bumping your post for you. i have no idea if they have boba on campus, but i wish you the best of luck on your quest for the delicious milk, tea and chewy black pearls mixture that is BOBA.

godspeed, fair stranger. godspeed.

I don't know anything about UCSD, but my friend who goes to SD drinks boba all the time, so i'm sure there are some nearby =) good luck!

thanks everyone for supporting me and my collegiate quest for the greatest chinese invention of all time...

...i know that Starbucks in Earl's Place serves boba, but its $4.25 for a large, and the flavors are limited....

...personally, my favorite selection is green mango sno bubble with boba at lollicup, but i always settle for mango or taro because apparently i'm the only one who likes green mango.

...can anyone tell me if Earl's Starbucks Boba is any good, or other places to get some?

your help is greatly appreciated, and i'm glad my thread can bring laughter to someone's otherwise morbid day in this antagonistic world.

There's Boba Bliss in La Jolla. Their website says there's a free city shuttle from UCSD!

I'll bump this post too. :) I got hooked on Boba while I was visiting friends in LA over spring break. Back at school in New Haven, or at home in southern new hampshire there are NO places to get it. I did visit a nice tea house in NYC near broadway and tenth. As usual, I guess I just have to wait a year for the east to get with the times......

thanks for all your help everyone, i hope this is helpful to anyone who wants boba at UCSD, but it turns out i'm going to Berkeley, so if anyone can tell me where to get Boba in Berkeley, that would be greatly appreciated. Further, i know there's a Jolibee in Daly City and some others in the bay area, so if anyone can tell me how to get to Jolibee from Cal, that too would be greatly appreciated.

there is a boba cafe in berkeley. never been, but i know its there. its on bancroft, right next to sather lane.

By Ucbundergrad (Ucbundergrad) on Thursday, April 01, 2004 - 10:40 pm: Edit

there is like 5 BOBA places in berkeley where all the shops are on durant avenue. It is really good and sometimes they have sales for 99 cent BOBA!!! grea deal. So if yo go to berkeley you will never get enough BOBA because its everywhere. REALLY GOOD!!!
P.S. Live in Unit 3 and you will be even closer to the BOBA places!!!:)

oh yes...thank you ucbundergrad imparting this jovial information to me...it has just solidified my desire to attend CAL instead of UCSD (as if UCSD compares to CAL anyway). On another note, if anyone can tell me how far boba is from the Foothill residence (on campus and single dorms), that would be excellent.

This is so why I love my school's location- right in the middle of Asia Town. I'm not sure what I'd do if I went away to college and there were no tapioca places around. Tapioca Express=my daily fix.

I have been to UCSD many times... they sell BOBAs right on campus. It is a little cafe right next to Subway and all the little fast foods they have by the University Center

What about the boba situation around UCLA?? lol, great post btw. I LOVE boba and can't see myself living w/o it.

You should come out to Mira Mesa, there's lots of boba places around here. Probably the best would be Bobalicious in the Mira Mesa Mall. There's also Tea Station on Mira Mesa Blvd too. Come check it out some time!

If you are looking for Bubble Tea You'll want to check out BobaFind.com. You can search / locate bubble tea / boba shops by zip code or state. There are TONS of shops in CA, and I'm adding more everyday. Let me know what you think - webmaster@bobafind.com
