Boston is a great college town - as you note, there are lots of colleges in the area, and Boston is big enough to be an attraction of its own. Which schools you should consider depends a lot on your intended major, your likes/dislikes, and your academic record.

Boston is sooooooo awesome! There's always something to do! Some parts of the city do seem to clear out at night, but it's usually just the shopping areas and since you are female I would suggest looking at Wellesley. It's not in Boston but it's only 12 miles away plus it has an awesome campus!!!

Don't Forget: Boston has more college students than any other city in America.

I'm in MIT class of 2007 and am very excited about coming to Boston. It's one of the biggest things that attracted me to MIT. Everyone I know who has moved there has never left ever. Coming from a small town in the midwest, it will be way different but I'm really excited
