Does anyone know anything about the U of Chicago? I have heard that the academics are rigorous and the area is not so hot, but some of the departments are reputed to be top-notch and it is ranked pretty well (somewhere in the top 20 at least). Also, has anyone heard about Northwestern U's journalism school? It is supposedly very well thought of. Thanks a lot.

The Medill School of Journalism is reputed to be among the top 3, if not the very best, journalism school in the country, at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
University of Chicago is a very well-respected college. It is famous for having very rigorous academics..."the place where fun goes to die". But, it does have great programs in most of the major areas, and is very well regarded.
