has anyone had an ecperience that contradicts the "no one has fun at our school, all we do is study, we are extremely competitive" stuff i here all the time? I'm getting worried because I am going there and I keep hearing horror stories.
thanks

im guessing no one will answer- this fourm is the least frequented one- im in the same position as you- maybe asking this question in the fourm at dailyjolt.jhu.com will give us some answers.

My advice to you-keep posting something, whether it be incoherent babble or meaningful statements, to bump your message up on the board. I've noticed that this board is indeed less frequently trod upon, but, once noticed by someone, will most likely be answered. Also, check out the individual college posts under Johns Hopkins. The only thing I know about the school is that the area surrounding campus is pretty miserable-wait, that probably wasn't positive-i'm sorry.

My brother's best friend goes there. He's majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Although he didn't perform that well his first year (he's a rising sophmore), he says it's a great place, and he had tons of fun there.

my cousin went there and he said it was a positive learning environment and you do learn to be your best there (but he's like really smart, he skipped a year there, and so graduated in 3 years not 4), but if you do want to be the best there, you basically don't have a life except studying
