i live in NY
if my parents each make under $25000 a year
total of 50000
no money in the bank under their names
i live in a very PRESTIGIOUS and EXPENSIVE neighborhood though
how much financial aid do u think i will recieve...
for instance, for NYU?

NYU is notoriously chintzy with their finaid packages. They also often give loans vs. grants and/or scholarships.

NYU is notorious for also gapping which means that you go into this knowing that the school will not meet 100% of your financial need even with loans.
Being a NYS resident, you income willnot make you eligible for pell, you may get a few $ from TAP, a few $ and a BIG loan.
If you look up on of the financial aid calculators (try Dartmouth's fin. aid website, Williams, or princeton review) to get an idea of how you look.
