Who is writing your letter of recommendation for the NMS? I know that it says Principal, but you can also have a designated school official write it for you.
I'm getting my counselor. She's more familiar with me than my principal.

does it say principal? our counselors are writing all of the national merit recommendations....haha

when our daughter was a NM semifinalist the school's counselor wrote the recommendation. Much of the information in the recommendation was taken from our daughter's self-evaluation which was given an extremely positive spin by the counselor. It looks good for a school to
have as many NM finalists as possible, so most counselors and principals are prone to write very glowing recommendations.
