What do I do if my parents are unwilling to pay for my college, yet they are quite wealthy ($100,000+). I have been hoping to get into a good college, but will they aid me financially (will they look at my individual case). My SAT's are 1530, good ecs, 4.0 gpa...

if they're unwilling, you may be forced to go to a less expensive school. Alternatives: 1.join rotc and have it paid for by the taxpayers.2. take loans (it doesn't make sense unless you are planning to go into a very lucrative field. 3. search for scholarships. try fastweb. try the schools. Your stats may provide a merit scholarship at some schools, but you will have to look at each individual school. Loyola of New Orleans is one for you to examine. Other Jesuit colleges would probably have many merit awards you could qualify for. But it isn't the Georgetowns, Holy Cross and BCs of the world that will pay you for your stats. Look at less well known but quality schools and avoid the ones that offer aid based upon income. 100k is hardly wealthy depending on where you live. My parents are willing to pay one-third, get a loan for a 1/3 and hopefully I will win a merit to cover the rest. Good luck!!!!!!!
