Hey,
I was accepted to Penn State-University Park in late November. I filled out my FAFSA around January 1st and it all went well and was sent out. I have not recieved my awards letter from Penn State yet though. Is this normal? I have recieved other award letters. Has anyone recieved anything from Penn State? Should I e-mail the finicial aid office? Thanks

Have they requested copies of tax returns for you and your parents? Have you sent them?

Perhaps something caused them to reconsider their decision---like an undisclosed felony conviction, membership in a terrorist organization, or... multiple errors in spelling?

Seriously, it’s time to get in the habit of writing in a word processor, spell checking, and then copy/pasting your final draft into things like your comments on this forum.

No they did not ask me for any tax forms.

I also take strong offense to your comment over spelling. My errors were not half as bad as some that I have seen on this site.

http://www.psu.edu/dept/studentaid/needtoknow/rights.html lists Penn State's financial aid requirements. According to their statement, they MAY require copies of tax returns.

It would do no harm to email them to find out what happens next.

I was in the same boat as you and called PSU last week. They were very friendly and told me that the award letters are sent out in March. I am really looking forward to getting mine. Good Luck!! Hope to see you at Penn State!!
