When submitting the tax returns for parents and student to the schools do you suggest stapling, paper clipping, or leaving loose?

We've done our 2002 taxes, now do we have to resubmit them to fafsa, we've already gotten our efc, or do we just mail them to the colleges?? Rather confusing process all of this has been!!

Put the student's on top, the parent's below---and staple. Colleges want SIGNED copies...
Using paper clips or sending loose is an invitation for getting papers misplaced. Admissions staffs have enough to do without having to figure out where some lost paper belongs.
We made certain that EVERY piece of paper submitted to admissions by us, teacher recommendations, etc--had the following on top:
John Doe, SSN 123-45-6789, Applicant for Fall 2004
It's easy to file something like that... no matter what system a college uses.

Crazymom,
I think you're done... well, for NOW!
You mail in your tax return to the IRS.
You finish and SUBMIT the FAFSA to FAFSA.
You mail copies of your tax returns to the college.
The colleges obtain FAFSA information directly from FAFSA.
The next thing that should happen is a letter from the college, telling you what the financial aid award will be--based on the FAFSA and IRS info.
