Hi all, (again)
One the schools i'm applying to requires FAFSA to be done by *** JAN 15***. How on earth is that even humanly possible? Can I just use our 2002 tax return forms and W-2 forms and estimate???
My parents' W-2 comes around mid-end Jan!?!?! And we need to get them to our lawyer, which might take another week. HELP, what can i do? Should I call the school?

We had to complete a CSS profile by 11/15. What we did, is we took a stab at completing our 2003 tax returns using a combination of items 1) 2002 returns, 2) Pay statements through October 2003, 3) Bank Statements through October 2003, 4) Dividend statements through October 2003. This gave us the actual amounts through October, and then we just prorated the amounts for Nov & December in order to come up with a projection. It was not a fun process, but it was the best we could do, and it was more accurate than using just the 2002 returns.
Good Luck
