Ok guys heres my deal
my mom died when i was 14. I live with my sister now, and she provides no financial support to me. I have a part time job and get social security. my dad has no contact with me and no support other than my social security checks, if you count that. I need his tax papers and stuff to fill out the fafsa..He only makes like 15,000 a year, so its no big deal, but he won't let me have the papers. Is there anything I can do? Will contacting the financial aid office really help? Will I be able to go to college, or am I gonna be stuck here in BFE, being a waitress forever??? please help yall.

You write a note saying that your dad has deserted you and has no contact with you and that you live off of the charity of your sister. Have it witnessed by your counselor and notarized. Ask your counselor to call each college finacial aid office and explain the situation

Some school's financial aid forms have optional spaces where you can explain your situation. If they don't, then do what Jamimom says..
