I heard that one of the reasons for filling out the CSS Profile before the FAFSA, is that you could somehow download or bring over information that you had already filled out in the Profile into the FAFSA form. Is this correct? If it is, how would this be done? Do we need to indicate this on the CSS Profile Website or the FASFA website?
Thank You,
Joy

This does not really matter when you filling out figures for the freshman year. Many of the figures you provide will be estimates.
In FOLLOWING years, you have the luxury of first filling out your tax return, then the Profile, and then the FAFSA (using a special worksheet that the Profile "spits out" to help you.
