My dad unknowlingly filed the FAFSA form for all my colleges before January 1st. Now we realize that we need to file it after that date. Does this mean that we have to resubmit it?

Yes, because you can't possibly have all accurate tax information before the tax year is over.

Yes, from all the information I have received, they will not accept any submitted forms online until Jan 2nd. If mailed before that time, they will return them.

Forgive me, I'm new to this FAFSA stuff.
I am a senior and to be eligible for the Tennessee State Lottery Scholarships they require families to file the FAFSA.
I hear a lot about how my guidance counselor has stressed to send it in as soon as possible after January 1, is there an updated form or can I go ahead and fill out the form *now* and send it online January 2?

Get online in January and fill out the online form. Many of the figures you will be putting in will be estimates. That is OK. They know you don't have firm tax information.
You cannot "upload" a previously filled out form---if that's what you're asking.
