So, those of you who have some experience in this, just how does the EFC estimated by those online finaid calculators (finaid.org, Princeton site, etc) compare with what an actual college tells you your EFC is?

well, finaid.org estimated my family's efc right. zero. woohoo, i get tons of money!!!!

It's the FAFSA that "tells you" what your EFC is.
I'd say there is fair correlation with the calculators---IF you input similar information.
Your actual award will eventually be based on actual figures.
