Uh oh, I forgot to submit my CSS profile before the November 1st deadline. I submitted it on the 3rd, is anything significant going to happen, or will I just receive financial aid materials late?

You are in BIG trouble. I'm sure you'll be rejected for a mistake like that. They want to trip people up.

There, feel better? Now, seriously, why don't you call the admissions office and ask them? I'm sure you are not the first to be late with the FA stuff, but policies may vary. Yale, my D's EA choice, wants one to be registered for the CSS by October 1 and submit by Nov 1. I asked the impact of being late and was told that at worst it would mean the FA letter would come after the application letter.

The fact that most schools tell you about what's missing in mid November tells me they are used to these minor things.

Finally, if a school were to hold this minor mishap against you, would you want to go to such a place? I can just see how they would handle class registration.....

When you get an answer from the school, will you post it?
