I have no clue how to go about searching for merit scholarships. How do u kno if the scholarships that you apply for will give u money for the particular school that you are going to? I am so confused. Thanx for the help.

Most merit money comes from the school. Generally it does not involve a separate application. They just offer it to you when they admit you if they particularly want you to come there. So look under "financial aid" at the websites of the colleges you are interested in and see what it says about merit aid. (BTW - HYPS gives zero merit aid)
