I have an efc of 00000 as indicated by my fafsa email notification. I expect to attend a suny ny college where attendance is roughly 5000 per semester. This includes room and board. It is a two year college. I have one year of college experience at a private college that my parents paid for. Now i am on my own, 23, and do not make much money. I am applying for the spring semester at this college and wonder what i can expect to have to pay.
I had no grants or loans the first time around, and i am completely clueless to the whole financial aid process. I also live on my own. Please help me out, any advice is appreciated.

My understanding is that, you are not considered financially independent from your parents (for college financial aid purposes) until you are 24 years old, even if you live on your own and recieve no financial support from them. That bites, I know. Your qualifications for financial aid are still entirely linked to your parent's ability to pay.
