A newbie question ~ how is Federal Work Study dispensed ? Is it a reduction in tuition through the bursar's office automatically or are paychecks given to the student in which they pay on the tuition? One of my neighbor's daughters says that work - study is for extra expenses , like transportation & daily expenses of going to college and they give her the paychecks directly for whatever she need that is school - related .
