has anyone ever applied for the MTV full ride scholarship? (not that $100,000 would be a full ride...)

i want to, but the questions on the application are really personally involved (parent's income, ss#, generally info i don't give out)

For the essays, do they want them in MLA format? If no outside sources are needed, this is just basically a personal statement.

I don't know...it's seems awfully need-based. I'm far from rich, but I'm not poor either. I'm debating on wheter to spend the time writing to essay to apply. And the ss# thing should be no problem. It is a major company scholarship, I doubt it woudl still be going if they abused the priviledge of having everyone's ss#s.

I can't download it -- I downloaded Adobe Reader 6.0, but everytime I click on "Download the Application" it takes me to another page that says, "Having trouble downloading the application? Click here." When I click, all I get is a blank white page. What the hizay?

it's not 100,000..it's 50,000 to the grand prize winner and 25,000 to the 2 first prize winners..then some otherrrrrr stuff..the car'd be nice..heh

Does anyone know when they're supposed to announce winners? Are they going to post it on their website? And what is the deal about the prize winners being chosen at random?

I was going to apply, but I didn't want to write the essays and YES, it does seem VERY need based. It practically screams "the person who will win me is a URM from the ghetto"

Which is good I guess. But it ain't me.
