Does anyone know if being "selected as an Outstanding Student of America" means anything? Is it worth noting on applications?

I asked the same questions. I wanted to know if everyone who met the criteria of grade point and community service was selected and what the percentage was of students they didn't select. Let me know if you find out anything. Thanks
