Hey all.

Trying to figure out my odds at merit aid from lower tier schools that are still prestigious. Here's a starter list:

Duke
WUSTL
BU
Johns Hopkins
UVA
UNC-CH
Emory
Vanderbilt

Please post to give me an idea of the odds.

also, UChicago (does anyone know how many College Honor Scholarships they give out?) and CMU

I already posted on the thread about Emory. I'm not sure that I would call them lower tier schools as they are all in the top 25 but whatever. Best of luck to you, and as I said in the other thread I think you have a great shot at getting merit money from at least one of them.

Quidditch, does it help to be instate? were you? how did you stand out--I heard morehead is pretty near impossible.

Well this year, 22 people who got the morehead were from NC, the other 18 were not. being in state is better, you get a chance to be a semifinalist and have an interview. your application needs to be strong and the morehead committee is looking for a person with potential to succeed and also a passion for something.
u can instant message me, quidditch424 on aim
