Well i got a statement claiming that i still have to loan out about 8,500 dollars to go to UC Riverside even though m EFC is 0. I also filed it before the priority date! What gives?

well, your e.f.c.(expected family contribution) is 0. that just means that at the beginning of each semester/quarter, your parents don't have to come up with any money right out of their pocket to put on the table. your financial aid comes in three forms- grants, scholarships and loans. you can always go back to the school and ask if there are any unclaimed or new scholarships available. you could also get more work study.
i have a 0 e.f.c. and uc irvine sent me a loan of about $3,000. i still plan to ask for more money.

I have an EFC of 0, but uni of rochester expects my parents to pay $6000 something every yr.
Student loans will be $2350, $3500, $5500 and $5500 for the 4 years.
Macalester College was offering me full tuition, room and board.
i was expected to pay for books and supplies only.
