Harvard instantly repeats, that it wants to get to know you "as a whole person, not only through the test scores and transcripts", it instantly reminds about its "non-discrimination policy". But is it really goes, or it's only beautiful words? Essay, EC's and other are the criteries of admission decision, but what about opportunities. In America students take everything ready, but think about African, Asian, Russian student or some other, who through adversities takes SATs, recommendations from the teacher, hating America, who prepares transcript by own, who buy the books, which are so expensive for his/her family, who lives in the country, which doesn't invests in the education. Think what ambitions, aspirations this applicant has. Taking every opportunity, applicant is so promise, that Harvard is especially for him.
But does Harvard take into account all this curcumstances or its famous fair admission commetee is only a unminded mashine?
Imagine, you're a fourth child in the very low-income family, you're the best student in the region, you spend very much time to help your family financially, you try out every option your school and community offers. Now, how will you feel if you've been rejected only becouse misunderstanding?
