I am soooo interested in Economics and Engineering maybe it is because of my Pop and Mom's influence.I wanna apply for M&T.But my friends told me (one is 07, the other is 08)it is not that worthy.
I wondered what do this group of people aim at and what kind of students do admission officers wanna recruit for this program?

the people i know in m&t love the program and usually get good jobs.
sometimes they're more stressed than others since they have to take engineering classes.
i think the biggest downside is you basically get no electives.

The rewards, from what I hear, are great. But just be prepared to do a whole LOT of work (ie. lots of course overloading and summer courses) to get through it.
