What size font, font, spacing, and word count are applicants averaging on the "why penn" essay? I have been told double and size 12, but with around 400 words i am over a page. Help

I did single at 12. 1 inch margins.

yeah, I was wondering this too... Also, does whether or not you single or double space it affect what your word count can be? Obviously, if you double space it, it will take up more room, but does that matter as long it is under a certain word count? Penn doesn't seem to specify a word limit but I have heard that your essay can get cut off on the online app if it is too long...

i have 900(+/- 100) words on each of my 3 essays...and they are one page each....i have dbl the words that husky has, so go figure
