Verbal 660-750, Math 680-770. This is the stat for the middle 50% of the class of 2007. I don't have the breakdown of the 2008, but their avg. SAT1 is 1466 according to a letter sent by the school of eng. to all incoming freshmen. The admission process is two step if you are applying to the school of eng. You must be accepted by the school of eng. first. Then you application will be recommended by the eng. school to the university. I don't think you will be compared to the Wharton applicants. The two schools , actually each individual school in the University, will be looking at different qualities in the applicants in order to fit into each specific program's profile and requirements. Just concentrate on your own interested target school, write a good essay to show your passion in the particular field of study, everything will take care of itself. Quit worrying what others look like. Besides, it's more important to get into the school you want rather than just to get into the University. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply . I apreciate it a lot.
oh i forgot . what is the number of freshmen applied and accepted in the class of 2007 in penn eng.

Sorry. The SAT breakdown for the class of 2007 was for the overall admitted pool for the whole university. The school of engineering's breakdown will be higher.

u scared me out . well i have a sat exam after 20 days . plz as it seems higher what is the avg breakdown of penn eng?

Sorry, I couldn't find the breakdown for the class of 2008 engineering. But like I said, they should be slightly higher than the ones I told you earlier, which is the breakdown for the class of 2007 for the whole university admits., for the following reasons. 1. The eng. combined SAT avg.is highest amongst all applicants according to the admit letter sent from the sch. of eng. 2. It is 1466, which is higher than the 2007. But I would advise you not to fret over the verbal scores too much. 1. This is the first year of the new format, so there will be.a difference in the scorings. 2. you being an international, I am sure they will make some allowance for you. 3. Depending how many applicants you have from your country, you might have a slight advantage. Just concentrate on getting a high score in Math. You'll be OK.
