Hi, another can I get into Harvard EA question, although I’m not too sure how good my chances are.

GPA- 4.00, top 2%
1440 SAT, 740v, 700m, but I will improve on that
800 SAT II Writing
800 Bio
770 Math 2C
5 AP Bio
5 AP World History
4 AP Language
4 AP Government

Editor of school paper, staff member for 4 years
Academic team member for 3 years
Secretary of Environmental science club, member 3 years
Math team 2 years
Psychology club 2 years
Computer Science 2 years

National Merit semifinalist so far
Will get a recommendation letter from a writer at the San Jose Mercury
Over 200 volunteer hours including at schools, teachers aide, and at libraries
Docent at Smithsonian Institution

I know I have no where near the stats as some people here, but do I have a shot? Thanks.

Don't listen to these schmucks. You did ask for it, which was pointless, but the whole "rate my chances" game is utter crap. They don't know you, and they don't know what the adcomm will think about you. When I posted a "rate my chances," I was told I'd be let into two schools probably, waitlisted at two and rejected at four. They were right about the first two...

Just apply. You have $60 to lose and Harvard to gain.

shmuck aptly describes the likes of 80drofnats. he appears to get off on visiting every last "what are my chances thread" and telling gets that they couldn't get in to their dream school if their life depended on it. i would think that a freshman at stanford would have something better to do with his time than visit and post on a board for stressed-out high schoolers...
