Good EC's-- but I don't know about including all of those 1-year things on your app (unless you were significantly involved)... it dillutes your overall message. GPA and test scores are a little low, so work on that. Being African American certainly doesn't hurt. Overall, I think you have a 50/50 shot. Just try to get good recs.

If Brown is your first choice, apply ED and I'd say you have a great chance. BTW, where in Minnesota are you from? i'm from MN too and I'm applying to pretty much the same schools as you.

i think if you raise your SAT you will be a lock. And even with your current stats, you have a good shot. You're gpa looks fine.
