I know that Brown has great law school acceptance rates, but do you know how law schools react to the S/NC option? Is there a limit on the number of S/NCs you can do before law schools get suspicious, particularly the top 10 schools?

Law schools will use the LSAC GPA, which is a standard way to calculate your GPA for the purposes of applications. LSAC does not count S grades in the GPA, but will count NC as an F.

I sat in on a recent information session and the presentor said that grad schools realize that most Brown students take 4 courses per semester, so if they only see two courses on a transcript they will deduce that you failed two.
