Discus: Ivy League Schools: Yale University: Anyone else extremely nervous?

I saw Yale this summer and I absolutely loved it. It's really my #1 choice BY FAR. I just can't take the fact that it's soooo hard to get in. I mean, AMAZING students are turned away from schools like HYP, and I'm by no means amazing. I'm coming to realize that chances are I WON'T be going to my dream school. Anyone else feeling this way? It's so frusturating.

It was kind of like that for me and MIT. It really seemed to have everything, but is so selective. One thing though, if your applying to Yale, or MIT in my case, you probably have a bunch of other really good schools that will take you when you apply. You might not get your dream school (or at least what you think is) but I wouldn't say you walked away with nothing. Besides, there is always grad school.

I'm completely with you, Pre. I'm EAing, and the realization that I will be finding out my decision in less than four months is starting to make me a little jittery, haha. We're all going to be going through it at the same time here, though, so we'll all be nervous/freaked out/whatever together. But like Familyguy said (awewsome name, btw), life will go on afterwards even if you or I or anyone else doesn't get in. Good luck, though! :)

No, not really.
