Discus: Ivy League Schools: Dartmouth College: Regular Decision Chances
By Takeheart (Takeheart) on Sunday, August 08, 2004 - 08:16 pm: Edit

What do you think that my chances for Regular Decision at Dartmouth are? It isn't my first choice (Yale is), but it's not that far behind. I would love to go to Dartmouth, but ED definitely isn't for me.

I have:
1450 SAT (800 V, 650 M) I'll probably retake in Nov.
SAT IIs :740 Literature, 660 Writing, 640 Bio E -- I'm retaking the second two and adding another in October. I took them when I had the flu and therefore fell asleep in the middle of Writing, and when I got to Bio (my 3rd test) I was ready to die. All my scores will end up in line with my Lit one (hopefully).
A 4.0 UW GPA
9/121 weighted rank
Hardest schedule all four years -- junior year, hardest in history of school.

since you are planning to apply for literature i guess and you have an excellent verbal score and a very good score in literature, you do have a good chance. I am sure you can improve your SAT scores and if you do well in your AP then you are in.
