College Discussion Forums: Ivy League Schools: Brown University: Jobs After Brown (Help!)

I've heard good things about Brown--it's diversity, student body, academics--but one thing is noticably missing...graduate placement/jobs.

As a future lawyer, the lack of praise for Brown's law-school placement worries me. Yes, there are vague statements on Brown's website (90% of our alumni get into law school), but that doesn't convince me.

How about a little reassurance? Or some more doubt.

What is the graduate/job situation after Brown like? Thanks...

Every school in the IVY league has a strong law school placement.

Just check out Harvard and Yale's law schools list of undergraduate schools represented in their classes.
Brown is right up there with the rest of the IVYs and top LACs, ... Brown has one of the highest amount of students go to those two law schools, each year.

And besides those "vague statements" on brown's website, I don't know what much more you'd need for reassurance. No matter which school you go to for your undergraduate education, the two most important factors are LSAT scores and you GPA. A school name never guarantees a professional school placement, even if you attend an elite school during undergraduate years.
