There are quite a few services that are not free: The gym membership is $135 for the year, or $80 for the semester. The bus pass which will take you any where in Ithaca costs $75 per semester or $150 for a full year before September 1, 2004. Beginning September 1, the OmniRide pass price will increase to $100/semester and $190/full-year. Internet usage on campus is included in your houseing rate, but if you go over 2GB in bandwidth usage in a month you will be charged $0.002 per additional megabyte. (This is acutally cheaper than the old system which charged students $44 per month for access). Many of the physical educ classes have a fee attached to them. For example, instructional golf is $125, and intro to sailing is $210. But there are free phys ed courses such as swimming and badminton (see this site for all phys ed classes: http://bigred2.athletics.cornell.edu/physed/courses-s04.html). If you miss the swim test there is a $30 make-up fee. I'm sure there are other fees that they charge that I cannot think of right now. I'll post them if I remember.

lost keys cost $5, and if you really lose it, you have to pay more to replace the locks and keys.

i forgot how much it cost to replace id, but i think it is in the $20s

yup, they charge for a lot of stuff, but in a huge university, i like to think they are just keeping overall costs down.
