oops, i posted this in the "Chances" forum before i realized there was a Harvard-specific forum...

Asian far as "stats" go, mine are near perfect, so that's not an issue, kinda worried about my ECs and comm. service though...

how do these stack up for a harvard applicant?

Science Olympiad (8th-12th): 11-time medalist (6 golds) at regionals, 8-time medalist (6 golds) at state, silver medal at nationals (as well as a 9th the previous year)

Math Team(7th-12th): captain, state champion for the past 4 or 5 years, highest AMC score in the state, AIME, etc...our school has dominated the competition in our state

Mu Alpha Theta (11, 12): individually, placed 3rd and 7th in the country in two different math contests, team has placed 5th nationally.

ARML(9-12): havent done that well individually, our team is pretty good, i'm co-captain of our state's "A" team this year.

USAMTS (10-12): bronze winner last year, silver this year, probly gold my sr year, a few commended solutions

Knowledge Masters (10-12): team always ranked in the top 3 in the state

TEAMS(11-12): 3rd at regionals, 4th at state, 21st at nats this year.

National History day (10): 3rd at regionals, 3rd at state.

Debate(9-12): above average, won a few regional tournaments, i place at almost every one, but never qualified to nats (an alternate to nats this year)

Academic Team(11, 12): Founder; we're pretty good regionally

some other worthless things like Mock Trial, Model UN, Envirothon, Big Brothers, NHS, etc.

Attended Governor's School summer after 10th grade (u know, that whole "gifted" thing)

Rensselaer award for Math/Sci(does this even mean anything?)

Caltech Signature Award (this doesnt mean anything, does it?)

Comm. Service: ~150, maybe 200 hrs. by next year you can see, i lack leadership and "focus," i guess, my being Asian will also probably hurt me...but would these EC's and stuff put my app at maybe above average at Harvard (other schools include Princeton, CalTech and MIT)??
