No. The way it works gives the choice to you. You are required to be on campus the fall, winter, and spring of your freshman and senior years, as well as the summer after your sophomore year. All other terms (freshman summer, sophomore fall, winter, and spring, and junior fall, winter, spring, and summer), you choose when you want to take your three "leave terms."

Baseball players do not necessarily have to follow suit and be on campus sophomore summer. I have very mixed feelings about this exemption, because I have heard it is a very special time, but baseball is baseball....

I thought Dartmouth had the trimester system.
