My daughter got in with a 1560, so I'd have to say no.
By Ivyleague14 (Ivyleague14) on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 - 04:55 pm: Edit
No- SATs aren't everything- as long as your other stats are good, a 1560 is more than good.
By H0peful (H0peful) on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 - 05:38 pm: Edit
Yes- I did personally and got 1600 on the retake.
By Mitwannabe (Mitwannabe) on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 - 06:19 pm: Edit
if your 1560 was due to only 2 verbal questions wrong, then yes. can u tell i got screwed over by a curve? lol, j/k, wtf is wrong with you, don't retake.

By Treyy685 (Treyy685) on Thursday, May 27, 2004 - 01:25 am: Edit
yea..you can't use your own judgement???? there are sooo many other things to worry about...NOT A 1560! plus..depending on your other stats, even a score in the 1400s doesn't necessarily hurt thaat much. but it really depends on what else you have on your app
By K0w (K0w) on Thursday, May 27, 2004 - 03:53 am: Edit
friend got in at 1400. doin fine there ever since. wut i dont get is why fuss over 40 pts when you can find a cure for cancer or somethin?
By Chicagodude (Chicagodude) on Friday, May 28, 2004 - 02:49 am: Edit
If you do, don't stress out about it. It couldn't hurt, although I got in with 1540.
By Markudel2003 (Markudel2003) on Sunday, May 30, 2004 - 02:50 pm: Edit
I know a guy that got into H with a 1390. Your app is more than scores and a 1560 shows u can do the work. Now what...

Give the test entry fee to charity. www.heifer.org is a good one. And spend your time sleeping in.
This, right now, is your life.

Here's what I think you're waiting to hear:
CONGRATULATIONS on your 1560! You did a great job! It will help you get into Harvard!
Now, stop worrying about it. Don't retake it. Go read a book for fun.
