Do you guys know if there is anyway we can request a roommate for the upcoming year? ... or does Brown not do that?

I think you and the other person should just contact reslife and tell them. YOu could also include a note with your housing survey saying you both are requesting to live together.

So I called ResLife yesterday to inquire about that, because my friend and I want to room together, and they told me that they do not take requests! Kind of a bummer, but I'm open to rooming with somebody new.

I don't know about sophomore-senior years, but I'm pretty sure all freshmen have to live in doubles.
