Hey, I was accepted ED in CAS after going to Cornell this past summer for summer college, and was just wondering if any of you are fellow musicians and are planning to play in the orchestra. Im not majoring in music, but im wondering if anyone knows anything about the reputation of the Cornell Symphonic Orchestra or any of the other facets of the Music Department.

Btw, I currently live in Conn., but am moving to NJ this summer before the fall semester. Are any of you from Princeton area?

Hey I'm planning on playing in the (an?) orchestra or maybe wind ensemble. I'm in the E-school and I play flute. When I went to visit Cornell 2 weeks ago, I talked to the music admissions lady. She was very nice and she gave me some info about their performing ensembles....I believe there were 4 wind bands and 2 orchestras of different levels, and she said most participants aren't music majors. I bet there's some more info on the Cornell site somewhere.
