Hi guys. I wanted to know if anyone knows the percentage of students who get into Med School out of Brown (not including the PLME kids). Is Brown a good school to go to if you'e Pre-Med?? Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

Its not the best premed in the world, but its and ivy league school, so what do you expect.

I do know Brown has some good research programs (I hear good things about thier neroscience) that are always good for premed if you are interested in them.

Unfortunately the link is a little old, but numbers from 2000 are relatively consistent with today's numbers - if you look at a copy of the most recent college viewbook (page 32).

Brown has one of the best pre-med programs in the nation. There's some information about their percentages of students attending their first-choice graduate school (professional, ie. law and medicine) included in the undergraduate viewbook. Just check that, or call the Admission Office.

From what I remember, Brown has one of the highest percentages right behind Amherst, Williams, and Swarthmore.

Brown is good for pre-med. Not as many students get into the top med schools as they do from Caltech, MIT, Yale, or Harvard, but Brown is definitely up there in the top 20 or so.
