Early action acceptees, log in to the notification website at https://admissions.its.yale.edu:443/decisions/logon.aspx

Is it just me.... or did they update the zoomable map with the locations of the regular decision admits? -.-

By Neo (Neo) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 08:49 pm: Edit

Host a pic for us RD folks, if it's true.

x_X

*stomach sinks*

zoomable map? locations of RD admits..?

*takes EA admit hostage to look at said site* haha...

ermm hey... if anyone is bored enough, would you mind taking a quick little screen cap (hit "Prt Sc" on the top right of the keyboard and paste into MSPaint or Photoshop or whatever...) of the Southern California area...? hehe... I would be um. rather grateful ;)

By Nikelaos (Nikelaos) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 08:53 pm: Edit

oh, and I'll gladly host pics (my server won't freeze up) if someone wants me too ;)

Okay. Let me at it!! I want to see the darn thing!! Zoom one of Wisconsin!

By Crnchycereal (Crnchycereal) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 08:54 pm: Edit

Oh, good Lord. It's ZOOMABLE? If so, can anyone zoom into Bergen county, NJ (upper right corner of the state) as far as possible?

By Pentheselia (Pentheselia) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 08:55 pm: Edit

Why do you say it looks different? It looks exactly the same to me...

By Blade409usa (Blade409usa) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 08:55 pm: Edit

Question to EA acceptees...were the Y's located right over your town or were they just in the general area of your county?

By Nhkane (Nhkane) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 08:55 pm: Edit

hey, i'll take a western NY (Rochester) Zoom if possible

By Knabcire (Knabcire) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 08:58 pm: Edit

sorry guys, the EA map has not been updated. However, the Bulldog Days one definitely has, as there were no EA admits in Wyoming, and there are about 18 blue Y's... same for other states. There's another string that links that map. If the EA admit site is updated, I'll let you guys know. Good luck!

By Planetbeing (Planetbeing) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 09:37 pm: Edit

Are you quite sure? It happened later in the day, because I checked earlier today and no. But right now... There's suddenly 10 more "EA" admits in my city.

By Evil_Robot (Evil_Robot) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 09:52 pm: Edit

My EA map isn't updated: either that or SoCal has no more acceptees (which I doubt)!

By Mulan (Mulan) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 09:54 pm: Edit

you're sure you're not looking at the "current yale students" map, planetbeing?

By Planetbeing (Planetbeing) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 09:56 pm: Edit

Heheheh. SO I am. Thanks.

By Evil_Robot (Evil_Robot) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 10:00 pm: Edit

False alarm!

By Johnmayerfan (Johnmayerfan) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 10:13 pm: Edit

ALso, somebody, mulan, nikelaos, someone, was the Y exact or in the general area?

please answer!

By Mulan (Mulan) on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 - 10:40 pm: Edit

(the e-mail again incase you missed it)

Josh-
Thanks for the e-mail. I am pretty sure that the map you sent me is not
the 2008 admissions map. For example, I know how many students we admitted
from Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho and there are definitely different numbers
of Blue Ys in those states. Perhaps it is a map of applicants and when we
finalize our class, it will turn into a map of admits?

Sincerely,
Jeremiah Quinlan

By Clangpants1 (Clangpants1) on Thursday, March 25, 2004 - 07:35 pm: Edit

Well... it seems to me that the fact that Wyoming had no EA admits but now has both a (proportionally) high number of admittees, and two different colors of Y (suggesting EA and RD?) i would think this isn't a map of this year.

By Gabypa (Gabypa) on Thursday, March 25, 2004 - 07:55 pm: Edit

Wow! Can anybody check how many applicants where accepted from Brazil and Peru?

By Sheri (Sheri) on Friday, March 26, 2004 - 08:40 am: Edit
