How are the health care services for undergrads at Brown? Is it a good idea to keep preexisting medical insurance and also purchase the University's health plan? Or is the University plan comprehensive enough coverage for a healthy undergrad?

I don't know about Brown's health plan, but most university-sponsored plans are inferior to your pre-existing medical coverage. They only cover catastrophic medical needs and tend to have high co-payments/deductibles. However, even that is better than nothing!
