Hey everyone,
Just wondering who on this board is Canadian?
If so, where in Canada? And to which college (within Cornell) did you apply?
If you stay in Canada next year, which universities are you considering?
Good Luck!

We here in ottawa call Toronto "t-dot"
at least, my friends do.
By Ishuku (Ishuku) on Friday, March 19, 2004 - 03:38 pm: Edit
Forgot stats
1510/740/740/750, 36ACT, 4.2 weighted (don't know unweighted, probably around 3.8)/ranked 1.
By Almostthere (Almostthere) on Friday, March 19, 2004 - 04:14 pm: Edit
t-dot. meh. i prefer "turranna" =)
It's funny how you can tell if someone is from the Toronto-area though. If they are locals, they will slur the word like above, but if they arent from Toronto, they will enunciate all the syllables: "T-Oh-r-on-t-oh" =).

Canadian citizen from Nova Scotia, US resident, applied to CAS, likely letter
By Amythill19 (Amythill19) on Saturday, March 20, 2004 - 12:01 am: Edit
I personally prefer "Tohronno"
Anyways, I'm a female from a suburb of Toronto.
I was accepted to CALS RD, and am still waiting for that financial aid package....
If I stay in Canada, I'll probably end up at McGill, though U of T, Queen's and Western are options.
Does anyone on this board know of any Canadians that have received hefty financial aid offers? If so, how much aid did they get? I'm worried....
Best of luck to those still waiting...

I'm a canadian citizen and a u.s. perm. resident now. I'm wondering, for those that have the same citizenship status as me and that applied to Columbia, when you check your finaid status on the web, does it ask you for your canadian tax forms? My status says that they haven't received them and I've told them that I won't have them b/c I'm supposed to be under U.s. perm resident right? I don't get what's gonna happen come april 1st though..... I'm scared, can someone help?

I was from Western Canada (Edmonton, Alberta) but I now live in New York. Heh, if we all get into Cornell and go, we can get a Canadian club going. Maybe we'll have curling nights.
By Almostthere (Almostthere) on Sunday, March 21, 2004 - 09:55 pm: Edit
I second Nervous' Canadian Club idea - we'll bring a Canadian flag, hockey sticks, Tim Horton's Coffee, Beaver hats, CBC Hockey Night in Canada, Maple Syrup ad touques
By Mimerz (Mimerz) on Sunday, March 21, 2004 - 10:53 pm: Edit
i would join the canadian club in a second! we should totally start that. my friends at harvard, penn, and yale already have some sort of a league going, and they're getting all sorts of events like toronto-boston hockey games, etc.. provided we all get in.... (starts praying to god, buddah, alah, etc..)
