Hi guys...
Im a freshman at Binghamton University and Im planning to apply as a transfer to the Hotel School in the spring 2005. So,I just had some questions and I wanted you guys to rate my chances. ;)
- First of all, is there a lesser chance getting in for the spring semester then fall as a transfer? Do they accept less people? And do they really check references, extracirriculars etc?
StAts:
- immigrant- came to US- 7 years ago- fluent in Russian
-graduated top 20 in class of 256 in high school
crazy extracirricular activities
picked as top tep graduating seniors
- GPA 3.6
(French history, Greek history, Womens lit, Macroeconomics, Intro to Aerobics Certification, Russian Lit, Feminist Critique)
-Certified Aerobics Instructor/Personal Trainor
-Social President of my college community
-High Hopes Counselor (volunteer)
-Russian Club member
=SUNY Kids (volunteer)
Hospitality experience:
- waitress/hostess in high school
-currently work part time as a catering intern for the catering service on campus
-current tourism internship with the Greater Bureau of Binghamton
and definetly going to do an internship in the hospitality industry in the summer.
I have a very outgoing and charismatic personality and Im very committed to the hospitality industry. But do you think everythign is enough to get me in....as a transfer from Binghamton....its nothing glamourous or international. Please tell me how I can improve my chances? Thanks a bunch. ;)
