I just got a letter from Princeton today stating that one of my teacher recommendations is missing from my file. I will give a new form to the teacher in question tomorrow but was wondering if this mix up would have any effect on my chances of admission. I gave him the form months ago and he claims to have sent it, so I do not know what happened.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Same thing happened to my D (she got the letter Saturday). They told her one of her teacher's recs was not received; seems odd since both recs plus transcript and GC rec were all mailed in the same envelope, according to her HS. Anyway, the coordinator at Princeton was very nice and said things like this are not uncommon, just have another sent as soon as possible. Additional, I was told that if, after sending in the items misssing, my D did not receive a postcard stating that her file was complete within the next couple of weeks, to check back and see if Princeton did indeed receive everyting they needed. They were very nice, and this is not something to worry about; just take care of it right away.
