There's a typo on my personal statement, it should have been "And though Iím sure that my future is wide open with possibilities, that nearly anything I could possibly want to be or want to do is within my reach," but instead i said "And though Iím sure that my future is wide open with possibilities, that nearly anything I could possibly want to be or want to do is within my teacher,"

am i just being anal, or will this really have any real impact come april?

I'm sure this is not what you want to hear, but I do think it could make a difference. Poor proofreading does look really bad. To be honest, though, that sentence seems really cliche anyway, so the typo could make it more interesting.

man.................this really sucks, i checked it over and over, and it must have slipped through

I had a typo like this is an app I sent to three schools ... It wasn't a typo really - It was just a word that was repeated in the first two sentences that shouldn't have been - I totally missed it .. I hope they let us both slide = )After all, we're human, and we make mistakes

Who starts a sentence with "and"?

That is a bad typo...
You should send a correction letter.

HAHAHA. You sound like an aspiring porn star. Send a correction letter ;)

By Meowmeow (Meowmeow) on Friday, January 09, 2004 - 05:05 pm: Edit

I had a typo too!

I spelled mohandas as mahandas....does that warrant a correction?

I believe correcting a small error only exacerbates the problem

yea, you wouldn't want to draw their attention to it.

meowmoeow,
If i am not mistaken i think you were writing about Gandhi. Mohandas and Mahandas doesn't make a difference as the name is from a foreign land and not a standardized english name like George or Paul,...

You should say Mahatma Gandhi anyways. It's like calling that Roman emperor Augustus instead of Octavian. Actually, I don't think it matters.

I typed "and" instead of "an" is that really bad?
