Hey everyone,

Just wondering if you could eval. my chances for Brown, Columbia, and Dartmouth RD this year. I really need to just select probably two and right now the frontrunners are Columbia (although it's more selective and Dartmouth).

I have a 4.0 uw gpa as stated and I'm 1 (although shared with 12 people)in a class of about 200 as of end of jr. yr. The class rank'll be better (1 shared with less people) in my mid yr. report.

SAT is in the lower 1500's and I have an 760 sat II average.

I go to school in KS (underrepresented?)

Ec's: Sr. class president (been in stud. gov. for 2 yrs), math club prez and founder (last two yrs), another club's prz and founder (last two yrs), and prez of another club (last two yrs). Secretary of another club (been in it for 3 yrs) and membership in 3 other clubs (1yr (scheduling conflicts, baby) to 4 yrs (Key club)).

I'm worried that colleges will completely disregard most of my ec's b/c they're in the last two yrs. I didn't 'just' do them for college. In most cases, I didn't have things planned out, I had other clubs and was too busy to join, or I wasn't elected.

Weakness: I have some leadership awards but they won't be recognizable b/c they're not famous or anything, and some math awards, and some general academic awards. I don't have anything national and I think my awards list is where I falter...but I can't do anything about it now.

I live in a rural area with not very many opportunities and so that's why I'm so clueless about college admissions and that's why I don't have many awards.

I'm an asian girl (although I'm not passive, as you can see by my 'initiative') wanting to major in the sciences or math, possibly engineering.

please respond quickly, I need to get my rec's out tomorrow!

Thanks, guys.......

Have you looked at engineering closely at Dartmouth? The more I looked, the less I liked what I saw.I think there are better, especially with your stats and location.

so you think with my stats, i'll most likely get in? I'm not sure about the engineering, I thought it would help since i'm a girl and it can't hurt. dart doesn't have like separate schools like cornell right? so if i get in, I can always switch if i want to. i think I'll still go into science or math though for sure. I know they're not hot at it but as of now i really want ivy and i'm applying to like virtually all of them + jhu + Wustl. Wanted to do stanford, but deadline was too quick, wanted to do berkley or michigan but they're on rolling admissions and i'm afraid it's too late plus i'm outta state, wanted to do nwestern but I'm not for sure I'll get in (heard they sometimes have tufts syndrome) and the app is crazy long, so now it's between dart, columbia and brown. I can choose two or three, just that'd cut my time down...

By the way, 4.0 in morst rig. curric., can/will I get in on academics alone?

please respond hafta mail it in like <1hour.!!!!
