Its not over the summer. The test is REALLY hard. I took it last year with my friend who is REALLY smart. Neither of us made it. I think they have different standards depending on the grade you are in when you take it though. Since we were juniors, we probably had to do REALLY well :b. Also, theres a lot of kids in it who go to the magnet school like Stuy, so with the limited number of spaces, its hard to get in. Still, I know people who made it, and they say its good.

I'm in that program and I am no math or science genius. Actually math and science are my weaker subjects. The test is made up of a easy math section (like SAT I math level), a science section covering elementary physics, bio, astronomy, chem, and meteiorology (i don't think i spelled that right, you know the study of weather). The third part of the test is the challenge math section, which is rather difficult. I didn't really think i had a shot at it when i went to test for it as a junior but got in anyways. So give it a shot, you never know.
